What’s the story behind Bo Dangle’s Bodoption?
Before we introduce you to the bodoption agency who acts as the intermediary in Bo-Me’s bodoptive journeys to their forever homes with their cosmically destined human (Fleshkin) companions, it’s important to first address the following question…
Who is Bo Dangle?
Mr Bomont Dangle, to our knowledge and according to our most recent theories, is a being from the NadRad who figured out a way to enter our material realm here on Earth in a vessel designed to seamlessly assimilate into our society. His reason for so doing is unclear, but we have an inkling it may have to do with the ‘Mirth of Earth’ campaign, a multifaceted initiative being undertaken by a variety of NadRadian figures and organisations to contribute to the harmony and joy of consciousness on planet Earth in order to maintain the balance of the delicate multidimensional ecosystem of ultimate reality.
Bo became The Crud Muffins’ much beloved friend and collaborator, accompanying us to events and living rent-free at CRUD HQ since he came into existence many years ago. We joked that it would be hilarious if despite his sedentary lifestyle and relative inactivity he ended up pulling in more cashflow for our not-for-profit than the endeavours of those of us who volunteer to work ceaselessly for the CRUD cause… and that’s exactly what happened!
Where do the Bo-Me’s fit into all of this?
After silently meditating in a near catatonic state for months on end, Bo determined he could become a conduit to birth other NadRadian beings into our dimension in the form of Bo-Me’s, thereby assuming the biological and symbolic role of a parent.
The distinct characteristics of the NadRadian beings and their relationship to Bo before they enter our realm is not yet known. We do suspect, however, that they too are coming to our planet to contribute to the ‘Mirth of Earth’ initiative by nourishing imagination, inspiring creativity, encouraging play, nurturing our inner child, bringing joy and comfort, and epitomising universal and unconditional love.

To answer your original question, Bo Dangle’s Bodoption was born to facilitate bodoptions as Bo-Me’s pass from Bo Dangle’s care to that of their forever homes.
The Crud Muffins Inc provides Bo Dangle’s Bodoption with volunteer multidimensional medical professionals, make-believe midwifes, and plushie geneticists, as well as individuals who volunteer to handle the administrative duties the bodoption process entails. In return for these services, Bo kindly donates all proceeds from bodoption fees to our non-profit organisation in support of our creative endeavours (which align with many of the ‘Mirth of Earth’ objectives).
Does every bodoption support non-profit arts?
That’s correct! By bodopting a Bo-Me you’re rewarding our volunteers’ efforts and directly contributing to The Crud Muffins Inc fundraising efforts as our artist-led not-for-profit works towards opening a permanent portal to the NadRad in the form of a vibrant community arts space!
Is there any difference between ‘bo’doption and ‘a’doption?
Yes, there’s one fundamental difference! A bodoptive relationship needn’t be exclusively parental but instead is informed by what the human companion needs most at any given time.
Whilst there’s nothing wrong with becoming your Bo-Me’s primary caregiver, you may find that you’re better suited as friends, siblings, colleagues, or even lovers! It’s up to you and your Bo-Me to explore and navigate together.
Is every Bo-Me unique?
Absolutely! Just like each living organism who inhabits this planet, every Bo-Me is totally unique and one-of-a-kind. No two Bo-Me’s are the same, even if they may share similar characteristics.
Are there different types of Bo-Me’s?
There certainly is! Odd-bod Bo-Me’s, classic Bo-Me’s, creature Bo-Me’s, KNIT Bo’s, and Bendy Bo’s are some of the current categories of Bo’s offspring. Check out which Bo-Me’s are currently looking for a home!
Do you birth custom Bo-Me’s?
Yes we do! With our custom BOnetics program you can bring a Bo-Me into being to match your specifications – the only limit is your wallet and imagination. If you can dream it, Bo can birth it!
However, custom applications are currently closed until further notice while we birth the backlog on the waitlist into being.
We’ll announce when the next limited number of custom Bo-Me slots are available again via our socials and email list, with priority given to our generous and devoted patrons over on Patreon.
Is there a limit to how many Bo-Me’s I can bodopt?
Provided you have the space in your home and heart and the funds to afford multiple bodoptions, there’s no limit to how many Bo-Me’s you welcome into your life! It brings us great joy when we know Bo-Me’s are living together or in frequent contact with each other, and no doubt it contributes to their wellbeing too!
Is there a way to connect with others who have Bo-Me’s?
Bo Dangle’s Bodoption has an Instagram and Facebook where we share the adventures of Bo-Me’s who have found their forever homes. Eventually we plan on creating a private online space and in-person events for Bo-Me’s and their Fleshkin companions to connect with each other, so we recommend subscribing to emails to remain updated.
I heard patrons get bo-me related perks?
You’re absolutely correct! Patrons who are subscribed as Batter Believers or beyond on Patreon get a whole bunch of perks including priority for custom requests, first-dibs to bodopt before Bo-Me’s go up for general bodoption and exclusive behind-the-scenes process insights. They’re also set to be our testers for DIY patterns for Bo-Me clothing/accessories… and even Bo-Me’s!
Can I buy Bo-Me clothing and accessories?
We do offer the option to have clothing and accessories tailored for your Bo-Me for an additional fee, but we recommend doing this prior to bodoption as Bo-Me proportions differ. Please fill out a Custom Bo-Me Form to receive a quote.
Can I make my own clothing and accessories for my Bo-Me?
We absolutely encourage people to get creative and explore the world of Bo-Me fashion creation! We’re currently working on patterns and tutorials for a range of items, with our subscribers on Patreon set to be the first people to test them out before we make them widely available. What do I do with my Bo-Me?
The question is what do you and your Bo-Me wanna do together? Go on adventures, dance, play, create, party, cuddle, share moments… it’s up to you! Bo-Me’s love life and are excited to share theirs with you!
What does the bodoption process entail?
We’re continually refining the bodoption process to ensure the experience is as smooth for you and your Bo-Me as possible. Once you’ve selected your Bo-Me (or enrolled in our custom BOnetics program when slots are available) you simply pay the appropriate fees and wait patiently while we take care of the rest!
Is there much paperwork involved?
You’ll be required to submit a small amount of paperwork in order to enrol in our custom BOnetics program or apply for optional add-ons for existing Bo-Me’s, but besides that the only other document you’ll need to complete is your Bo-Me’s Certificate of Bodoption and ID card.
How is a bodoption legitimised?
Every Bo-Me comes with their own unique photo ID issued by The Crud Muffins Inc which has a number indicating how many Bo-Me’s have been born before them. In combination with the signing of your Bo-Me’s official Certificate of Bodoption, this legitimises the process and the transfer of custody as you begin your lives together.
Does my Bo-Me come with a name?
Names are extremely important as they possess intense magical potency, influencing our perceptions and interactions with reality. We do not wish to deprive human companions of the powerful opportunity to connect with their Bo-Me’s on a deeper level through this ritual, and therefore leave naming your Bo-Me as a journey to be undertaken together at your own pace.
Plus we’d get way too attached if we named them and CRUD HQ would overflow with more Bo-Me’s than we have space for!
Can I bodopt if I’m not based in Australia?
You most certainly can! Travel expenses for your Bo-Me may just be a little more expensive than our domestic bodoptions.
How much is postage?
This is calculated during your online transaction prior to finalising your payment and varies depending on where your Bo-Me is traveling.
How long will it take for my Bo-Me to arrive?
This is something which is often at the discretion of the deities who oversee postal services. Within Australia Bo-Me’s typically arrive within a week. Overseas travel can take anywhere upwards from a couple of weeks to a few months depending on circumstances and delays, particularly as a result of the pandemic.
What if my Bo-Me doesn’t arrive?
If your Bo-Me has not arrived within the estimated shipping time and you’ve become fearful that they’ve lost their way, please contact us to resolve the issue and work towards locating them.
Can I bodopt in person?
Yes you can! There’s occasional opportunities to meet Bo-Me’s and bodopt in person at markets, festivals, and pop-ups. To stay updated on in-person events subscribe to our emails and follow The Crud Muffins and Bo Dangle’s Bodoption on social media.
What is Bo Dangle’s Bodoption doing to help the environment?
To minimise our impact on Mother Nature and celebrate the abondance of underutilised resources at our disposal, considerable consideration is given to minimising waste throughout the process of Bo-Me genesis. Where possible, this includes the use of upcycled and second-hand materials, use of recycled paper for accompanying documents, and utilising Hero Packaging compostable mailers.
Are Bo-Me’s suitable for adults?
Very few Bo-Me’s are in the care of children, so you needn’t be ashamed if you’re an adult human with an inner child who’s looking to bodopt!
Are Bo-Me’s suitable for children?
Although all carbon-based lifeforms can benefit from a relationship with a Bo-Me, caregivers of young Fleshkins (aka humans) should be mindful that Bo-Me’s are not factory-farmed plushies. There is only so much lively fun and boisterous play that their bodies can handle! Bo-Me’s make great companions but should be treated with tender care and loving respect to ensure their physical and emotional wellbeing.
Fleshkins who are still of the age where the world is a place best explored with their mouth may be better suited to a different companion who can safely be masticated without posing any choking or strangulation hazards.
Ultimately, the choice to introduce a Bo-Me into your little one’s life remains a decision to be made at your discretion baring the above information in mind.
How do I clean my Bo-Me?
Each Bo-Me has different care requirements according to their skin type and the materials from which any clothing or accessories are made.
Placing your Bo-Me in the washer or drier endangers their life and is strongly recommended against!
We consider the following care instructions safe for most Bo-Me’s (excluding those who have hand drawn/painted flesh):
1) Gently handwash your Bo-Me and any items of Bo-Me clothing/accessories in a sink of cold soapy water (adding a few drops of your favourite essential oils for a deluxe spa treatment)
2) Once done having fun in the tub, rinse under clean running water
3) Massage any excess water out by gently wringing by hand
4) Hang any Bo-Me clothing/accessories out to dry
5) Soak up some rays while you join your Bo-Me for some sunbathing while they airdry in a flat and relaxed position
6) Once dry, mist your Bo-Me with your favourite fragrance and enjoy how fresh and clean they are!
What do I do if my Bo-Me is injured?
Feel free to contact us with any repair questions if your Bo-Me encounters any injuries on your journeys together.
What is your returns policy?
To avoid inflicting unnecessary trauma, we do not offer refunds on Bo-Me’s. We take every reasonable effort to ensure each Bo-Me is birthed with love and care and that any perceived faults/flaws are evident in the images and description of their online listing.
